Flowasta

Flowasta is a fully compositional flow assurance simulator developed to assist flow assurance engineers in design and operation of pipelines with possible solids precipitation and deposition.

The first module in the Flowasta program suite is a hydrate kinetics module for investigating hydrate growth in pipelines transporting oil and gas with some content of water. Hydrates will increase the viscosity of the transported fluid giving an increased pressure drop that may possibly cause the whole pipeline to plug up.

The next Flowasta module to be released will be an upgraded version of the PVTsim wax deposition module, Depowax.
